Fund-raising dinner...
The International fundraising dinner is finally over.... whoa... over a month of planning and 3days of preperation....
Wed morning: Buy onions to peel.
Wed Afternoon: Buy meat (25kg of rump steak, 120pcs of chicken thigh fillets, 150pcs of pork spare ribs (reminds me of pork belly meat)....
Wed Evening: Cut up steak into chunks, marinate spare ribs.
Thurs evening: Cut Chicken into pcs and marinate (for satay)
Cook rendang... Dinner with some rendang, spare ribs and gado gado...
Fri morning: Make Wanton, skewer the chicken, bbq the chicken, fry keropok... fry wanton, grill the spare ribs... make sushi..
my gosh.. it seems like a big task.. but we finally managed to finish all...
however, a few hiccups.. including... not enough serving platters (we bought takeaway boxes that have compartments so the food don't mix)...
First up was an international fashion parade (all mix of colours and culture).. Then an anklong presentation (with me on the keys)...
entre was 2pc Sushi, 1 kimchi fritter, 2-3wantons.
2nd entre was satay (2sticks each).
Main course was up next, consisting of gado gado, rice, sauce, spare ribs, rendang and korean glass noodles (japchae)...
Keropok was free flow...
Dessert was a cool cake with even cooler design toppings (cream and rasberry sauce)...
Was a success, but many of us (me included) suffered from aching joints, hands, fingers etcetc...
Yupyup.. i didn't take any pictures, but someone would have and i will hunt them down...
