Blackout!!!

Last night was one of the most memorable experiences in my life in aussie land... Blackout!! According to a mate who was living here for the past 1.5yrs, it was the first time she experienced it....

I just finished dinner (luckily the Lord made me hungry early)... Was watching television when poof... everything went dark.. I was like.. oh my... It was around 6.45pm, and the whole place was in total darkness (sun sets here in Gold Coast at around 5.45pm..)

I sat on the sofa for awhile before i realised the power will not come on for some time.. i then made my way into my room (trying not to trip over all the furniture in the house... frantically, i was searching for my torchlight and my handphone, which both happened to disappear in the dark.. Ha... i then realised that my torch was in a bag which i brought out to springbrook Nature Park last sat... While all was going on, i saw a light flickering... Yes.. i found my handphone... Aparently, one of my khaki was riding her bike, crossing the traffic light, when poof.. the light went off... She was stuck in the middle of the road... I told her to remain calm and try to reach to the side of the road as soon as there were no cars... after cutting the line, i searched for my torch, and managed to look for it.. Quickly changed into some warm clothing, i made my way out ( as i was suppose to go for bible study)... Called my friend, she was safe back in hostel already... met up with them before i called the bible study coordinator, who said things were ok in church (imagine, just 200m away, the power was ok, but the whole stretch of my hostel and beyond were dark...)

Yupyup.. and this was the adventure... The lights came back only after 10.30pm...


Right...
