i should blog, shouldn't i?
Firstly, i should say i celebrated my birthday with friends on 6th july... at my tiny abode, i managed to fit in more than 20 people... we had a great time with potluck, and everyone brought something there was too much to eat! Dishes include vegeterian spring rolls, vege scones, okonomiyaki, inari with crabstick mayo, crabmeat cheese dip with lebanese bread chips and a host of other yummy dishes i cannot remember.
I worked @ uni making up enrollment packs on 7th for a whole day. not bad pay... was even paid overtime for 15min...
on 9th i finally cleaned up the house so that my aunty, uncle and cousin could stay. Sandor helped me with moving mattresses from David's house. He's away for the holidays and kindly lent me his spare single mattresses.
Drove up to the airport to pick them up in Brisbane. Had dinner in sunnybank before driving them back to the Gold Coast for a much needed rest.
We went around the coast, including visiting the pelicans for feeding @ charis seafood in Labrador. i can't remember where else we went....
Zhiguo came over on the 14th and we wasted no time in picking him up.. Unfortunately, he had some issue with Jetstar because someone checked in late.. his blanket and pillow was packed in a trashbag and they asked him if it was rubbish he was checking in.. LOL.. so funny...
anyway, his stuff came on the next flight and we had to only wait for 1/2hr.. wisked off to byron bay and we had a great time looking at the scenery.

15th was spent by my aunt and family in Pacific Fair, while ZG, Leck Koon, Leck Wee and myself went to movieworld... Some idiot cut a main telecommunication fiber optic cable in Molendinar, Gold Coast and crippled the whole of optus's Queensland network. How goof is that for optus to rely on 1 cable! anyways, i was late but i couldn't contact koon to let him know i'm coming late. which was bugger.
We had a blast of a time at movieworld, although koon and wee looked sianz.. LZG looked like a little boy all over again with the exciting rides...

i finally gathered enough courage to take the wild wild wet ride, and because of what koon told me before, i kinda knew what i landed myself into.... and someone beside me screamed at the first backflip dive. hahahaha!!!
i was a little disappointed with ZG's response when asking him to take the rides, considering he's been bugging me about getting an annual pass and saying he'll come in every day, or at least every week!

Dinner was at the posh Versace hotel buffet where I also invited Ben to come along..
After dinner, Ben suggested going to Surfers for a walk, then to the Casino for a walk too...

Wed 16th was rainy so the morning we stayed home... the moment i the weather cleared, i shooed everyone out of the house and we made our way up to mount tambourine... brought them to the usual touristy places and finally i went to the cheese factory as well! Tried the cheeses there.. luckily i have a strong stomach coz by the time we got to the hard blue cheeses, i was ready to projectile through my mouth... washed down the cheese flavour with their honey yogurt.. yumyum!! but i loved the triple bree and "Tamberet" (tambourine mountain's version of the Camberet) so i bought those. Unfortunately because we started late, by the time we got there, the Vodka distillery was shut. Managed to find out LZG's bdae date by pretending to look through his passport, with his permission of course. Haha.. u didn't suspect did u? did it right under his nose.

I had to run some errands on thursday 17th and i also stopped by the cake shop to get a birthday cake for LZG... Went out real early and brought it home, all wrapped up in a nice plastic bag and stuffed it into the fridge. Not a suspect from LZG... I am gonna reveal my "complicated plot" here for all to see...
We then went up the hinterland to Springbrook, Natural Bridge and the "best of all lookout.

Before going for dinner, I drove everyone home for a brief toilet break, but the main reason is to pick up the cake.. This boiboi didn't want to go to the toilet so he was busy scribbling away on my fridge magnetic to-do list board, and i had to "excuse me" push him away and got the cake out. Then I found an excuse to go downstairs to "pick up the mail" with this huge plastic bag thingy (which he still didn't suspect it was the cake!) and loaded it into the boot. My poker face helped that i didn't give away the secret.
I then left my "wallet" in the car and we all got out into the restaurant and got seated. As usual, i let the unsuspecting birthday boy sit facing the "wall" which is basically a glass wall facing the au-natural beautiful scenery of the harbour. after all were seated and ordered food, i pretended that i left my wallet in the car and i went to get it. This time i wisked the cake out and handed it to the staff of George's Paragon and the rest is history... our waiter was so cute, he even came over and said a little bird whispered in his ear that there was a birthday today...
we had an awesome meal, and then when our plates were cleared, LZG was surprised with his cake. The candles used were just sparklers (like fireworks) and the staff sang Happy birthday. Checkout the video...
Overall, i would say my acting skills were superb, and that he (hopefully) had a surprising and wonderful, memorable 24th birthday.

Fri 18th we drove up to brisbane and went up mt coot-ha. to walk walk around south bank and then the city.

and then waited 2hours for Krispy Kreme for cousin Kevin to buy and bring back to Perth the next day.
Sent LZG to the city, said our teary byes and i think he checked into a "Palace Backpackers" which turned out to be crap..haha... poor thing...
All in all, that's what happened in GC over this short span of 10days.
